If you love classics, you must give these Lunch Lady Brownies a try! So easy to make and the frosting takes them to the next level!
❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We love how these cookies stay soft in the center. Even after a few days they are soft and delicious. The combination of chocolate chips and walnuts is good. These cookies are perfect for any gathering or just when you want to enjoy a delicious chocolate chip cookie. Perfect with milk!
SWAPS
You can easily swap the walnuts for pecans or leave the nuts out all together. You can also use mini chocolate chips or use a combination of white and regular chocolate chips. This is a versatile recipe but we love the original version.
⭐TIP
Most people end up over baking cookies, the key is they will continue to cook after you take them out of the oven. Here are some other tips, so your cookies turn out perfect!

I want to bake these tonight, ahead of time, for my family that is coming in for Easter. Is the Brown sugar packed or just leveled in the measuring cup?
It’s not packed, just get you a scoop of brown sugar.
I bake for a local organization’s yearly bake sale and try to bake ahead and freeze so I don’t have to do it all at once. Do you know if these freeze well?
I havent tried freezing them, but honestly see no reason why that wouldnt work.
The cookies tasted very good. I didn’t like that the cookies spread too thin when baked.
As you can see from our photos we didnt have that happen. Wonder what caused yours to do that?
Okay..Leigh and Anne… you’re right! These are now my favorite chocolate chip cookies! They turned out great and kids loved them!! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful recipes!
YAY!! We are thrilled you loved them!
These were very good. I baked mine at 335° and did small cookies at 13 minutes, and then used a cookie scoop at 15 min. The larger cookies were more golden and appealing…both were delicious. I used toasted chopped slivered almonds. I will make this recipe again!
Have never had great luck with making chocolate chip cookies. Well, that changed with this recipe. Easy to make, delicious , and one I will be making over and over again. Nice and crispy. You have great recipes which I enjoy making.
So glad it worked for you!!
Honestly, I was skeptical but they are hands down the best cookies I’ve ever eaten.
Delicious! I had to increase the oven temp to 350 (probably my oven is off but 325 was too low).
I will ONLY be making these cookies for the rest of my life! ♥️
Yay!! We’re so happy you enjoyed them!
Hi,I made these cookies they were the best I think I have ever eaten…..I was telling my sister about them and told her I would make a big batch and mail her some. I’m like you I think they were awesome with the white chocolate in them…Thank you for some awesome recipes…..
So yummy! They don’t expand much when cooking so you get to put a lot more on the cookie sheet 🙂
