Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until well mixed. Add baking soda, salt and flour and continue mixing. Fold in chips and nuts.
Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 12 - 15 minutes. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen depending on the size you make the cookies
Notes
You can use 1 cup of white chocolate chips and 1 cup of semi sweet as well. Both versions are delicious.
