Now, cinnamon chips can be hard to find year round. I see them mostly during the holiday season. They are made by Hershey’s and are just like chocolate chips, but are all cinnamon. However if we can’t find them, we just make our own. Here is the recipe for our Homemade Cinnamon Chips!
These cookies are perfect for any gathering and would be a great addition to any Fall tailgate! Delicious with a cup of coffee. They would also make a great gift for the holidays.

This is a KILLER cookie! I made it for the first time to take to the office and all were gone by mid afternoon. I think it says all. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe.
YAY!! That’s so great. Thank you for the kind comment!
This cookie is AMAZING!!!!!!! I’ve made it several times and it is so delicious! If you love cinnamon and pecans – this is the cookie for you!
Could I replace the vanilla flavoring with vanilla extract? I’m assuming the flavoring is different. What would the equivalent be for the extract? 1 tbs seems like a lot. Thank you.
Yes, of course! It would be the exact same amount. Vanilla extract and vanilla flavor are both made with real vanilla beans. The difference between the two is that vanilla flavor is not made with alcohol and, therefore, cannot be labeled as an extract. They are interchangeable.
Thank you! I guess I didn’t realize that the amounts could be interchangeable. Looking forward to making these.
These are easy and DELICIOUS!
What kind of butter salted or unsalted?
I’ve made these cookies with both and thought it was fine. There is no added salt to this recipe.
I’m going to try this recipe, but I bet it makes more than 6 servings.
The servings are set on how many cookies each person eats. Not that it makes 6 cookies. If each person has 4 cookies then it makes around 2 dozen cookies. Most people don’t just eat ONE cookie.
