I made this bread to go with dinner yesterday – following the recipe as written- and it did not disappoint! This is one of those recipes that when you take a bite? “Wow!” is all that registers in your brain – and you automatically take a second bite of that goodness! After 50 years in the kitchen I still love being “surprised” at HOW GOOD a recipe is when you make it. Not all new recipes I try “make the cut” into my recipe box – but this one certainly did! Well done, Ladies – you should take a bow.5 stars

I’m making this for Father’s Day tomorrow! It’s baking right now and smells amazing! Do you think I could pop it back in the oven at a low temp before serving tomorrow and just put the topping on it then?5 stars

    1. Sorry just now seeing this.. I am not sure how that would work, but if it worked for you.. let us know!

      1. Can this be made ahead of time and frozen? I’ve done it with the biscuits, wondering how the bread might do.

      2. I have never tried freezing this bread, so I cant say. You can always give it a try.

  6. This bread is PHENOMENAL! I couldn’t believe how close it tastes to the biscuits between flavor and texture. The bread itself is restaurant quality. It’s a definite remake and so easy to make with few ingredients. I didn’t have dried parsley and actually neglected my fresh parsley where it was pretty dried out where I used that instead. Can’t wait to make this again!5 stars

  7. Where is the old bay in this recipe?

    1. If you do a bit of research, you’ll find that the Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits do not include Old Bay seasoning. Garlic, butter and cheese are actually the main seasoning, not Old Bay. Of course, you can add Old Bay seasoning. The Cheddar Bay biscuits were never named after the Old Bay seasoning. Thanks!

  8. Made this last night to enjoy with vegetable soup! What a winner!! Everyone loved it. Thank you ladies.5 stars

  9. Just made this Cheddar Bay Biscuit Bread. It is delicious! I did add a little Old Bay to the mix. My husband really likes it. Thanks

  11. A sprinkle of old bay seasoning in the batter and the topping is really flavorful.5 stars

  12. I am making this today as a side for Hamburger Soup. It smells so good. Can’t wait to try it. Easy to make too. Thank you. Pre 5 stars just for the smell alone. After tasting yes will be a go to in our house for my bread lovers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 stars

  13. Ummmmm needs Old
    Bay!!!

  14. One of the best breads I’ve ever made! Delicious. This is definitely a five star recipe.5 stars

  15. Made this last night with shrimp scampi and a HUGE salad. BOY! Was it a hit! The ONLY problem we had was NOT waiting for it to settle/cool before slicing! The broken pieces were GREAT to sop up the butter sauce from the shrimp! My son’s eyes rolled up to his head & said YES, make this every night. THANK YOU for such great meals etc.5 stars

      1. Sounds delicious! Can I freeze it? Was thinking of Thanksgiving

      2. I think that would probably work, but I have never tried it.

    1. This bread is good. If you like your breads more on the seasoned side, definitely add more salt. I added 1 tsp and it was still a little bland. The seasoning on top definitely make this bread. Add those in the batter as well. If I had old bay, I’m sure it would have made this bread great. The middle is super super soft. I sliced it and slapped it on a skillet to add a bit of crust on it. Quick and easy. Would probably make cheddar drop biscuits next time, but this would make a good jalapeno cheddar bread. The bottom crust that is created is delicious.4 stars
