If you love simple recipes like this you will also love these delicious Biscuit Sticky Buns. They are so good and take about 10 minutes to put together.
❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We love how easy this recipe is, only a few ingredients and you can get them in the oven in about 10 minutes. These are perfect for a weekend morning and kids love them too. You can easily double this recipe. We make them in an 10 inch iron skillet but they will work in just about any dish (9X9 is a good option) but you want them to go in close together and they will puff up, so you will need room.
CANNED BISCUITS WITH BUTTER
This recipe is made with Grands Butter Biscuits, (8 come in the tube of biscuits) the butter is IN the biscuits. You separate each biscuit to make 2 biscuits (they will separate pretty easily), so this will 16 biscuits. People always ask from the photos what the specks of yellow is in the uncooked biscuit, it is the butter. You could use other grand biscuits and this recipe will still be delicious.

⭐TIP
We use cinnamon and sugar on the inside of each biscuit with the cream cheese. To make it easier you can buy the cinnamon and sugar that is already combined. I also think its easier to cut the cream cheese if it’s at room temperature.

STORING, REHEATING & SERVING SIZE
We store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat them in the microwave. This makes 16 biscuits, about 6-8 servings.

Butter Pecan Cheesecake Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 16.3 ounce Grands Butter Pillsbury Biscuits
- 2-3 ounces of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of butter – melted
- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Powdered Glaze
- 1 cup white powdered sugar
- 3 to 4 tablespoons milk I use 2%
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray a cast iron skillet with cooking spray. Separate each biscuit to make two biscuits from one. Then pat then down to make them a little more flat. Cut an inch size piece of the cream cheese and put in the biscuit, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and roll into a ball. Repeat this with each biscuit and put them into your cast iron skillet.
- Once all your biscuits are rolled into balls and in the skillet, in a separate bowl combine melted butter, brown sugar and pecans and stir together. Pour over the biscuits in the skillet. If you have any leftover cinnamon and sugar you can also sprinkle that on top too.
- Cook for 28-35 minutes or until biscuits are done. I tested my biscuits with a knife and they were done around 28 minutes.
- Powdered Glaze Instructions
- Put sugar in a bowl and whisk in milk and vanilla extract until mixture is smooth. You can add more or less milk or sugar to get the consistency you want.

I love all of your recipes. They are simple to make with ingredients that you already have in your kitchen and very tasty and they always take you back in your childhood days when your mother and grandmother made them, but they are different from other recipes on this site. Your recipes make me want to sit on the front porch with a tall glass of ice tea. It takes me back to home when life was so simple but yet so good thanks for all your recipes.
Ann, thank you so much for this very kind comment! This is exactly how we want people to feel when they visit our site and make our recipes.
Just in case anyone might be interested, we could not eat the whole batch, so decided to see if they would freeze well. And yes they do. Just a 30 second twirl in the microwave refreshed them to just like freshly baked. I did not glaze them, so if you decide to freeze some, you might wish to wait to glaze them until after reheating.
Quick and delicious. I used the plain Grands biscuits with no problem. Baked in a 10 inch iron skillet for 28 minutes and they were perfect! Didn’t even need the glaze.
These are wonderful!! Our family loved them and will definitely make again! Thank you
YAY!! We love this one too!
Made this today for church and brought home an empty pan. I doubled the recipe and it turned out great. I decided to mix the 1/2 cup brown sugar and cinnamon into the cream cheese before placing in the biscuits. Next time I plan to use pumpkin spice. Definitely a keeper. Thank you for sharing.
So glad it was a hit! Thank you for the kind comment.
In oven, 350 degrees? How long to bake? They look scrumptious!
It says how long to make it in the recipe 🙂
Can’t wait to make them! Thanks do much!
These look so yummy Thanks
I made these for my son and my mother. We all loved them. I took the leftovers to work and all the co-workers loved them too! Thanks for the great recipe!
Can I use regular grands biscuits
Yes, they will work fine.
What size skillet? Should the rolls be touching?
Yes the rolls should be touching. You can make this in any size, they just have to rise together. I used a 10 inch skillet.
These biscuits are absolutely delicious. I can’t believe how easy they are. Thank you for this recipe. My family devoured them!
Thank you for the kind comment. We agree, they are delicious!
When you say make two biscuits from one do you mean cut in half and have 2 semi circles or pull it apart and have two thinner round biscuits?
You can do either, if they don’t separate well cut them, you may have to roll them out a little to have enough size to put the cream cheese in.
I wish I had an Iron skillet~ Can these be made without one? Would love to make them 🙂 Thankyou!
Absolutely, you can use a glass dish or cake pan. Anything that will work in the oven will be fine.
I will have to try this. Looks amazing and (my favorite part) easy!
What are the yellow pieces in the biscuits? It looks like yellow pepper?
It’s pieces of butter.. they are Pilsbury Grands Butter biscuits.
Recipes look delicious! I’ll definitely try a few.
