Apple spice dump cake is so easy to make.

Apple Spice Dump Cake

Apple spice dump cake is delicious and you will make this cake over and over again.  My family loves this cake.  It keeps well in a cool place for several days and you could change the cake mix to another flavor if you want.  This cake will go anywhere and be the perfect dessert anytime.  It is delicious with whipped cream and extra caramel sauce on top or with ice cream. This cake is good enough to serve for Thanksgiving or Christmas!

Apple spice dump cake is one of our favorite recipes.

4 cups peeled and chopped apples (I use golden delicious)

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup caramel ice cream topping (the kind in the jar)

1 (15.25 ounce) spice cake mix

12 tablespoons butter, melted

1 1/2 to 2 cups chopped pecans

In a mixing bowl toss the chopped apples with the ground cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract.  Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan with cooking spray and spread the apples in the pan.  Pour the caramel ice cream topping over the apples.  Spread the dry spice cake mix over the caramel and apples.  Spread out with a knife.  Pour the butter over the dry cake mix.  Try to get all the cake mix wet with the butter.  Add pecans on top and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.  Makes 1 cake.  Enjoy!
