Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all 4 ingredients together (if your Angel Food Cake Mix came with anything other than cake mix, just use the cake mix) and pour into sprayed bunt pan. Cook on 350 for 30 – 35 minutes, until knife comes out clean in center.

Note: This cake mix is just that, a DRY cake mix, it doesn’t come with egg whites or anything extra. This is the ONLY cake mix we have ever used to make this recipe.

  1. Hello I want to make this cake today for a party on the box of the angel food cake it says to add water do I use that or not? I’m not sure if I need to add the water. Help!

    1. You do not follow the instructions on the cake mix box. So no, you wouldn’t use the water. This recipe is four ingredients. Thanks!

  2. Angel cake is my favourite one! I usually do it with oranges. Pumpkin is not my favourite filling, but I might make it to diversify my fruit desserts.

  3. Mine did not rise up in the pan at all, came out very short and dense…more like a pound cake…wondering what did I do wrong?

  4. Hi… I was thinking about using some of your ingredients in your Bourbon icing to make more of a glaze… Do you think that would be good? I have not made the cake yet so not sure of the taste…

    1. I have made it with a can of pineapple before and it was really good. You can definitely give it a try.

  5. I made this yesterday and it is DELICIOUS and soooo easy! I even added 3/4 cup of semi-sweet Chocolate chips. 5 stars

      1. I have what may be viewed as a stupid question… I’m sorry I’m advance.
Do I make the cake like it says on the box then add the pumpkin and seasoning?

      2. Hello Lynn, you add it with the cake mix. If you look at the picture on the entry you can see it all added with the dry ingredients of the cake. You are just using the cake mix, not what the cake box says to add. Enjoy!
