MAKE YOUR OWN PUMPKIN PIE SPICE
Did you ever get ready to make a pie and check the cupboard for spices to find that you don’t have the one you are looking for? Here is a handy tip on how to make your own pumpkin pie spice in case you run out.

Combine the following:
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
This equals to 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

I enjoyed my Mom’s buttermilk pie when i was growung up. I lost the recipe after my Mom passed. I was happy to see it here on “The Southern Lady Cooks”. Now i can make it for my own family. I hope they enjoy it as well as i did as a young girl!
