MAKE YOUR OWN PUMPKIN PIE SPICE

 

 

Did you ever get ready to make a pie and check the cupboard for spices to find that you don’t have the one you are looking for?  Here is a handy tip on how to make your own pumpkin pie spice in case you run out.   

You will be able to “share” these by looking under the photo and clicking on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest to share with your friends. Click on the picture of the little printer if you want to print the tip or save it.

Combine the following:

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/8 teaspoon allspice

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

This equals to 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

  2. I enjoyed my Mom’s buttermilk pie when i was growung up. I lost the recipe after my Mom passed. I was happy to see it here on “The Southern Lady Cooks”. Now i can make it for my own family. I hope they enjoy it as well as i did as a young girl!
