Maple Pecan Pumpkin Pie - The Southern Lady Cooks

This maple pecan pumpkin pie is the perfect holiday dessert! This pie is a combination of two of my favorite desserts, our maple pecan pie and our holiday pumpkin pie. This dessert has quickly become a family favorite. I’m asked to make it every Thanksgiving. The best part is this pie is so easy.

Maple Pecan Pumpkin Pie Ingredients Needed:

Pumpkin, canned or fresh (not the pumpkin pie mix)

Salt

Evaporated milk

Eggs

Sugar

Cinnamon

Ginger

Nutmeg

Vanilla extract

Ground cloves

Uncooked pie shell

Maple Pecan Topping:

Pecans

Brown sugar

Real maple syrup

Vanilla extract

You could easily make this pie a day or so in advance which is always a added plus during a busy holiday season. This pie would be a wonderful addition to any dessert table and it’s unique too. This pie is very unique and add some whipped topping for a real treat.

This pumpkin pie is absolutely delicious. It's a combination of our maple pecan pie and our pumpkin pie. It makes the perfect holiday dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups pumpkin canned or fresh (not the pumpkin pie mix)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 9 inch uncooked pie shell

Maple Pecan Topping:

  • 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of real maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Combine pumpkin, salt, milk, eggs in a bowl and mix well with mixer. Add sugar, spices and vanilla and continue to mix. Pour into the pie shell. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking 35 to 45 minutes until center is set. 8-10 minutes before pie is done cooking, take out of oven and sprinkle maple pecan topping to the top of the pie. Place pie back in the oven and continue baking till completely cooked through..
  • Maple Pecan Topping Instructions: mix all ingredients together and gently sprinkle over pie.

Notes

Let pie completely cool before slicing.
