MAPLE BANANA BREAD
This Maple Banana Bread is wonderful! It is the best Fall bread to make and great for the holiday season too.

❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
The combination of maple and banana really goes well together. If you have followed us for any amount of time, you know we love banana bread. I think there are 20 different variations on our website. We love the maple glaze on this bread; it really adds to the maple flavor. Each time we make this we say how good it is! It’s the perfect Fall banana bread.
SWAPS
If you are not a fan of nuts you can leave them out. We make this bread with buttermilk and we suggest you do too. It adds the perfect fat content and make this bread moist and delicious. You don’t have to add the glaze but it definitely takes this bread to the next level.
⭐TIP
We let the bread cool about 10 minutes in the pan then remove it. We also let the bread cool before adding the glaze. The glaze can be tricky, getting the consistency correct, and you may need to thin it some if it gets too thick. Just keep working with it! It’s worth the effort.

Can this recipe be used to make muffins instead?
We have only made the recipe the way it is written, you can always give it a try!
I made this last night and oh my goodness…….it is one of the best banana bread recipes I have made or had! Hubby commented twice how delicious it is. It’s also pretty forgiving as I was preoccupied while making it and made so many goofs, but it all worked and made one fabulous loaf of bread. Incidentally. I have smaller loaf pans, 8 x 4 vs 9 x 5 (not the mini pans) that I made two loaves using them instead of the larger one. They are a little smaller, but not too small. Still a full loaf, just not as high. That way we have one in the freezer (YAY!) for another day! Enjoy reading your email letter full of recipes daily, thank you!
So glad this was a hit! We love this one too!
During a winter ice storm warning I made this banana maple bread. It was delectable and totally delicious! Love it!!!!
YAY!! We love this one too!
Absolutely one of my favorites! The combination of banana, walnuts and the maple glaze is to die for!! I love gifting this in mini form to my neighbors as gifts. Everyone has always raved about this bread and asked me for the recipe!
YAY!! Love hearing this! We agree.. this is a great recipe!
This is the best! I my family loved it. The glaze is delicious.
YAY!! I am so glad to hear this!
Dear Ladies,
I paid for a membership in the spring, but I do not have the portal email. Can you resend it to me at rmcarson2@tds.net??? Please?
Thank you,
Rosanne Carson
We resent it to you!
I’m out of bananas. What about substituting apples? (Perhaps cooked a bit to soften…)
You can always give it a try, I have never made banana bread with anything but bananas.
All the different breads look really good and delicious!
Can these loves of banana bread be frozen? I want to make 2 and put one in the freezer if possible.
Thank you,
Terri
I think that would work just fine.
This maple banana bread is delicious! I am always looking for tasty banana bread recipes – as I always seem to have bananas that ripen to far before we can eat them. This recipe is a keeper! It’s depth of taste is substantial – thank you for sharing this one!
Simply delicious. I didn’t put the glaze on at all because some of the family is counting calories and it is still delicious!! The first time I made it; someone got to it before I glazed it and that’s how we found out it is very good without glaze.
Besides agreeing with the other ladies comments about how delicious this bread is. All I can say is that it is the best Banana Nut Bread I have ever made, eaten and given to others. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
Yay!! We’re thrilled you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for the very kind comment and rating.
Do you leave the bread in the pan when you take it out of the oven for a certain amount of time? Also, do you put the glaze on when the bread is cold or still warm?
Once the bread is baked, take it out of the oven, let it cool for a few mintues and then take it out of the pan. I put the glaze on when it’s cooled, if you don’t, the glaze it will melt.
I love this recipe as does everyone I share it with. I do have trouble with the icing getting dry and crumbly, almost like maple candy. Am I cooking it too long? Any hints you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
YOu may be cooking it to long or need to add a little more liquid. It is a tricky icing so just keep working with it to get it to a consistency you like.
This is such a wonderful recipe! I added cinnamon to the batter and skipped the glaze only because I was wrapping them up in plastic to give away, but no doubt the glaze looks lovely. I only had sugar free maple syrup but it seemed to work just fine.
Came together quite easily and turned out wonderfully, Thank you!
This is the BEST banana bread recipe! I just made it tonight for my family and everyone loves it. I love how the maple complements the bananas. The maple icing is to die for! This is being added to my permanent recipe collection ❤️
We’re thrilled that you enjoyed it!!! It’s one of our favorites.
How would I sub other flours, please?
I have hazelnut & cocanut.
We don’t bake with either of those flours, so we would have no idea. You’ll need to try it and see what works for you.
