HEAVY CREAM CINNAMON ROLLS
Heavy cream cinnamon rolls is a recipe that went crazy on Tik Tok. So, of course, we thought we would give it a try to see what all the fuss was about. Well…the fuss is warranted. These SIMPLE cinnamon rolls are delicious! Seriously, they couldn’t be easier, and I was shocked at how good they were. I should have known, though, because heavy cream is one of my favorite ingredients to bake with, and in my opinion, makes everything better. This recipe is only FIVE ingredients and comes together quickly.
Ingredients Needed for Heavy Cream Cinnamon Rolls:
Canned cinnamon rolls
Heavy whipping cream
butter
brown sugar
pecans (optional)
Recipe Notes:
- You can easily double this recipe! If you do, you could fit it in a 9X13 casserole pan.
- Feel free to leave out the nuts or use any nuts your family enjoys.
- You could add different spices such as cinnamon, apple pie spice, pumpkin spice, all-spice, etc.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Is heavy whipping cream the same as half and half?
-No, heavy whipping cream has a higher fat content, making this recipe delicious. I don’t recommend switching out the cream for anything else.
Is heavy cream and heavy whipping cream the same thing?
-Yes, they are essentially the same thing. Each has over 36% milk fat.

Yes you can use this on homemade cinnamon rolls! I do this all the time-the heavy cream. Will try the butter brown sugar etc on top next time I make my cinnamon rolls.
I have tried this recipe. WONDERFUL. Fixing to make another batch. Thanks for the great, easy recipe.
You’re so welcome!! We are so glad you are enjoying it!
Sounds great.
Isn’t a stick of butter a half cup?
Yes.. but this calls for 1/4 cup, which is a half a stick.
These are outstanding! They’re even soft and good “cold.”
I added some cinnamon to the butter/brown sugar and a few drops of vanilla. I added a couple drops of vanilla to the icing.
I gave the recipe to my daughter. The only extra thing she added was maple syrup to the butter/ brown sugar mixture.
YAY!! What delicious additions! Love that you made this recipe work so well for you. I agree.. they are good cold!
Can you use homemade cinnamon rolls with this recipe.
I think you could, we have never tried it though.
You sure can use 1/2 c with homemade cinnamon rolls!!! My Hungarian Grandmother always did this with her apple rolls.
How do you store these, do they have to be refrigerated afterwards?
Yes, we store them in the refrigerator.
This is my favorite cinnamon roll recepie, quick easy. I make this often. Thank You for all the wonderful recipies.
Thank you for such a kind comment! We’re thrilled you enjoy them! This is one of our favorite recipes.
I tried the Heavy Cream Cinnamon Rolls recipe and it was absolutely delicious. The rolls are quite easy to make. I bought the heavy cream this time and made exactly by the recipe but will try making them with homemade heavy cream and see how they turn out. I shared some of the rolls with my daughter and after she tried them, she asked for the recipe so she could make them for her overnight guest. Thanks so much for sharing. Now I will check out some of your other recipes.
YAY!! We are so glad you enjoyed these! We love them too!
A simply amazing recipe! Takes hardly any time to throw it all together. Added about 1/2 tsp cinnamon to brown sugar/melted butter mix. The rolls were so dang good it was VERY hard to not eat the whole pan. Even the next day reheated they were great! Saving this recipe for any occasion, it’s that good! Thank you ‘The Southern Lady Cooks’ for this keeper!
YAY!! So glad you made these and loved them. We love them too and they are so easy which is a bonus!
So easy and very yummy!! Certainly gives big results with small effort. I tried the generic and least expensive canned cinnamon rolls. The results were outstanding! I mixed up a little cream cheese, vanilla, and heavy whipping cream to stretch the icing included in the package of cinnamon rolls. I did shake extra cinnamon over the top of the rolls before baking. Then, I Crumbled up a few pecans over the top and bake for 30 minutes. Dribble the icing over the top before serving and so yummy!!
YAY!! SO glad it was a hit! We love them too!
These are wonderful and so easy. Thank you for all your recipes!
You’re very welcome!!
I just made these for Thanksgiving breakfast and we loved them. I definitely think they are more of a caramel roll in the end, as the butter and brown sugar end up kind of dominating the cinnamon. That’s not a bad thing though! Absolutely delicious and they feel so fancy compared to just baking them plain. It’s how I will make them for holidays from now on. Thank you for the recipe.
You’re very welcome! So glad they were a hit, we love them too!
I’ve been making the Heavy Cream Cinnamon Rolls for well over a year. I have never had company that did not love the rolls; however, I found that the very best bought cinnamon rolls that I purchase to make them comes from Trader Joe’s. My rolls look different than the photo above, as I always sprinkle chopped pecans all over the top of the rolls. I do not add the icing and let guests determine if they want the icing on top. I have made them for neighbors as well, and what a hit—hot cinnamon pecan rolls!
Enjoy your recipes.
Thank you!
Glenda

YAY! I am so glad these were a hit!
These are simply delicious! As one poster used Rhodes cinnamon rolls I did the same. They raise beautifully and then follow with the recipe. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you ladies!
Wonderful! We’re thrilled it was a hit for you!
Wow!! Just made these and they are amazing! Definitely my new way of making them!! ❤️
I made the pecan sticky buns and they are everything you promise. My husband was smitten and loves warming up one for breakfast each morning. I have already shared the recipe with my daughter.
Thanks for sharing this great recipe!
My gosh these are SO good. I did use Rhodes frozen Cinnamon rolls in place of the canned as I already had them, but followed the recipe as written. Going to be a holiday breakfast goodie for this family. Made 12 and not one left. ❤️
Did you let the rolls rise , then pour on cream and bake?
