Pumpkin French Toast - The Southern Lady Cooks

This Pumpkin French Toast is easy to make and wonderful to enjoy with friends and family during the holiday season. We love anything pumpkin and actually enjoy this recipe year-round. It’s so easy to make and delicious topped with Cinnamon Syrup!

Pumpkin French Toast Ingredients Needed:

Pure Pumpkin (not the pumpkin mix)

Eggs

Milk

Vanilla Extract

Cinnamon

AllSpice

Ground Ginger

Butter

Slices of Bread

We used French Bread for this recipe and it turned out fantastic. French toast is one of our favorite breakfast treats and if you love this dish you will also love this French Toast Casserole. It’s perfect for Christmas morning!

This French toast is wonderful sprinkled with powdered sugar and maple syrup. Definitely save this delicious recipe. You can easily double this recipe and the large loaves of French Bread at the deli section of any grocery store works perfectly, but any bread will be delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup 100% pure pumpkin Not the pumpkin pie mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger
  • butter or margarine for cooking
  • 4 slices of bread

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients together with a wire whisk in a bowl. Dip bread of your choice into the pumpkin mixture. Have your griddle or skillet hot. (I add some butter to the skillet)
  • Cook on one side, turn and brown on the other side.
  • Makes 4 large pieces of French toast.
  • Serve with your favorite syrup!

Notes

You can double or triple the recipe depending on how many servings you need. This was perfect for two people
