fried-bananas3Fried Bananas are wonderful over ice cream, pancakes, waffles or even cake.  I love bananas and this is an easy recipe that is very versatile.  Sprinkle on some powdered sugar and eat them as a snack.  This is a great way to use up one or two bananas that are about to go bad or make a bunch of these.  Children love helping with this recipe and getting to eat the bananas on ice cream or some delicious treat.  My favorite is on pancakes but we love just about anything on homemade pancakes.

Fried bananas are delicious and kids as well as adults will love them.

2 to 3 bananas, peeled and cut into rounds or you can cut each banana into long slices like in the photo below

3 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Combine butter, honey and cinnamon in a skillet on top of the stove over medium heat stirring until butter is melted and starts to get little bubbles.  Add banana slices and cook about 1 minute on each side watching carefully so they don’t burn.  Remove to serving dish.  Makes 2 to 3 servings.  Enjoy!
