I forgot we use equal amounts of ketchup and apple cider vinegar!
My dad was from NC and we always called it red chicken. When I had children I called it red chicken too. We all have loved it through generations! Don’t forget several shakes of Texas Pete!!
Was really good and the spice can be hot if you want it to be.
I have to say yum. I grew up calling it red chicken. Same recipe as my NC Grandma except of Cajun seasoning we use a heavy hand of Texas Pete. Side of potato salad and black eye peas (chopped raw onion) on top. Extra yum!
looks delicious! and so . . . bake uncovered? – i want to be sure before i put it in the oven – thank you so much!
Yes, bake uncovered. Enjoy!
