❤WHY WE LOVE THEM
These simple treats are SO EASY! Seriously, I never mind making them because they are only four simple ingredients and take about five minutes to throw together. They are perfect for the holidays and make a wonderful hostess gift. Oh, and they are “out of this world” good! I promise you can’t eat just one.
🍴KEY INGREDIENTS
- Crispy Rice Cereal (I use Rice Krispies, but any puffed rice cereal will work fine)
- Mini Marshmallows

- Creamy Peanut Butter
SWAPS
I’ve never made them with chunky peanut butter, but I would think it would work fine.

With a peanut allergy, could I use store bought almond butter & substitute toasted, chopped almonds in place of p’nuts?
I have never tried it but I think it would work!
do you have to store these in the fridge after making them?
No, they are fine at room temperature.
So easy and they are the fire very good.
I just love simply brilliant recipes that can be made easily with a handful of ingredients and turn out scrumptious- like this one! Yum!
YAY!!
Could you use semi sweet chocolate instead of white chocolate
Sure.
These have been a long time family recipe although they are called “No Name Cookies” as the name on the recipe was torn off long ago!! Instead of crispy cereal, we make them with crispy Chinese noodles,
Can these be stored in the fridge in an airtight container, and for how long.
You’ll find the answer to this on the entry. Thanks!
I made these the first time I saw them on your website and they are delicious!!! Shared them with a dinner group then ate the (few) leftovers at home. 10/10 for a quick and easy preparation, common ingredients, and a sure winner!! Thank you!
So glad you liked it!! Thank you for the kind comment.
I’ve made these for years but add 1/2 cup of salted roasted peanuts to the recipe. So yummy
I’ve now made six batches of Avalanches to be given away in my Christmas snack bags. It was also fun to make them with my 10-year-old granddaughter. Definitely a keeper!
These are always everyone’s favorite treat. I add peanuts too. Yummy!
These treats are insane. I can’t believe how easy they are and how delicious. Thank you for a super easy mouth watering treat.
I add 1 cup of cocktail peanuts and reduce peanut butter to 1 tablespoon. Cinnamon andy flavoring…a drop or two…works well and has been very popular. I’ve used other flavors/colors of chips or candy melts, and other candy flavorings, with great success.
Could I use 12 Oz. of peanut butter chips instead of white chocolate chips and peanut butter? It could save a step and some money!
You can always try it!
I didn’t have enough white chips so made up the rest of the 12oz with PB chips and it worked fine!
Similar recipe (Blond Rocky Road) I found in an OLD Southern Living magazine has same amount of p butter and white chocolate, but 1 1/2 cups each of the crispy cereal, mini marshmallows and roasted unsalted peanuts. These are so good and loved by all!!
Yummy! I added dry roasted peanuts and they were a hit!
Your Avalanche Cookies remind me of my son’s favorite cookie which we call “No Name Cookies” as the title was ripped off the recipe. It is a no cook recipe either. Crispy Chinese noodles, butterscotch chips, peanut butter and mini marshmellows.
