EASY LAZY LASAGNA – (4 INGREDIENTS)
This lazy lasagna is only a few ingredients and is super simple to make. It’s wonderful for a busy night.

You may love our homemade lasagna or our baked spaghetti; both are wonderful dishes, but they take a little bit longer to prepare.
❤️LAZY LASAGNA IS A FAVORITE
This is one of our most popular recipes because it’s simple and delicious. Only a few ingredients and wonderful on a busy night. Does it take the place of homemade lasagna? Of course not, but it’s still a good recipe.
⭐KEY INGREDIENTS
Frozen Cheese Ravioli – This is found in the freezer section and we prefer the 3 cheese blend. You can use whatever you like but this is our favorite. Some people prefer to get the spinach kind but we love the 3 cheeses because it’s the three cheeses that are in most lasagna.
Pasta Sauce – You can use whatever your family prefers! We are always switching it up but recently made this with sauce flavored with basil and garlic and it was great.
Ground Beef – Most of the recipes we find don’t use meat in this dish but this was a must for us. We love making this ore like a meat sauce.
Italian Shredded Cheese – This comes in a bag and is a great addition to this recipe. We love to use the Italian blend, it gives it a good flavor.
🔪SWAPS
⭐You can use ground turkey in place of ground beef or leave the meat out altogether. If you are looking for more protein and less fat, use ground turkey. Italian sausage is wonderful in this dish too. You can also make this without any meat. You can also double the meat which I think would work well too and add a little more sauce.
⭐Remember this is a versatile recipe, you can add chopped vegetables, different cheeses, or another protein source.
⭐Add whatever spices you enjoy, you can also add garlic to the meat, etc.

This recipe look so good and so easy to make.
I have refrigerated ravioli, with directions to boil, on the package. Can I skip this and prepare baking dish per your directions. Should baking time be reduced?
I would think you could, but yes it would need to be reduced since they are not frozen.
Like an other commenter, I also used chopped frozen spinach thawed or partially cooked and squeezed/drained, and also I layered the red pasta sauce with Alfredo sauce. Another excellent recipe from the Southern Lady Cooks!
YAY!! What a wonderful way to enjoy this recipe!
I made this last night. I added frozen chopped spinach that I cooked according to the package. I mixed it with about a cup of cottage cheese and another cup of grated mozzarella and added as a layer. I also added a can of diced tomatoes to the ground beef and pasta sauce. The recipe was amazing before my wild additions, but I wanted to get some more vegetables in. 🙂 Truly a wonderful, happy meal with lots of smiles and comments of “you need to make this again”. It was really good.
I was intrigued by the recipe. When I made it, I thought that is not enough sauce. It was plenty! I used ground pork and a touch of onion powder to zip up the spaghetti sauce. It was so yummy. I will make it again for sure. I love easy recipes that make up delicious dishes.
YAY! Love that you used ground pork, that is one of my favorites!
If I use ‘Classico tomato and basil pasta sauce’, do I still need to add the basil and oregano this dish?
No probably not, if you like that flavor you can always add extra but it’s up to you.
Husband and I loved it. Will definitely make again.
YAY! I am so glad to hear this!
This was easy and good. I used beef but next time I think I’ll use Italian sausage. Nice recipe!!
I love this recipe! It is so easy. To make it richer I add plops of 8 oz ricotta cheese.
Make it in a 9 x 13 aluminum disposable pan and take to someone after surgery and or to a church supper. Everyone cleans it out.
Can this be made a day ahead of time and then reheated?
Yes, it sure can.
So easy and nowhere near the mess of making the full fledged lasagna. I do a layer of Rana sausage ravioli and a layer of Rana spinach and cheese ravioli. I also add the dried herbs to the meat and sauce while it is simmering to blend the flavors. Delicious! Never going back to the old school lasagna.
The way I make lasagna is easy. I use the flat noodles that you can use without boiling, eggs, cottage cheese and parmasan cheese. ground beef fried, stirred into the large jar of spagetti sauce. you layer as usual and bake,. it turns out very moist because of the extra sauce. The no boil noodles are great.
Thank you so much for this recipe. I have made it twice already. As much as I love regular lasagna, this is such a time saver. The first time I used frozen cheese ravioli. The second time, I used refrigerated ravioli. I found the refrigerated ravioli easier to work with. I used two different filled ravioli – alternating mushroom ravioli and basil pesto ravioli. It was fantastic! I intend to try many different types of ravioli going forward. I used ground turkey and I wouldn’t even know it wasn’t ground beef. My boyfriend loves it too. I love quick, easy and delicious recipes. Keeps dinner interesting 🙂
I love how you have made this recipe your own! So glad its a hit!
Hi, can I use tortellini instead because the grocery store was out of ravioli?
Im sure that would be just fine!
I used tortellini for about the last six inches of the top layer – and it was perfect. I think I could try an entire dish with just the tortellini some time. It is just plain GOOD.
Do I use the ravioli frozen?
Thank you. I’m making this tomorrow.
Yes.
I did make this. It is fantastic!!! I love it. Probably the only way I’ll ever make it again. Thank you for the recipe.
You’re very welcome!
The lazy lasagna is fantastic
It was so easy! I couldn’t find frozen ravioli so I used the refrigerated brand so let’s just see! I already give this a five star especially for anyone who wants a quick delicious dinner. Of course I added one thing- onions before I sautéed my burger just my preference!
I love all of these recipes thank you.
My family and friends just love this recipe.❤️
can i make this lazy lasagna ahead of time and bake later
I think you could easily do that.
This looks delicious! Is there a way to incorporate the classic Rigotta cheese mixture into it without messing up the recipe? Thanks so much 🙂
I think you could easily add a layer on top of the meat mixture and it would be delicious.
Great flavor. Couldn’t be easier. Next time I’ll add a little extra sauce. Makes plenty too so we’ll enjoy leftovers.
This is an easy and delicious dish. My family loved it. I did make my own spaghetti sauce with fresh tomatoes out of my garden. Will definitely put this dish in our rotation. Thank You!
This was GREAT and so easy. I did it as a White lasagna.. 2 jars of Alfredo sauce, Venison sausage and 1.5 bags of wilted spinach. Huge hit for the family.
Hello, everyone.
I made this dish last night, and it was delicious! My husband and I enjoyed it. I made the recipe per the directions exactly. This is a super easy recipe. The dish truly tastes like homemade lasagna. I made this dish with grass-fed hamburger meat, and with four cheese ravioli. I LOVE ONE-POT DISHES!
Note: I didn’t u thaw my ravioli.
-Kita.
This is as close to authentic lasagna as it gets without all of the prep work and ingredients. The end result is nothing but delicious! What a terrific recipe! Thanks so very much!
So glad you enjoyed it!
I would like to make this and freeze it. Should I bake and then freeze or just freeze after I have put it together?
Thanks,
Nancy
I think either would work. I have never tried freezing it.
I own a freezer meal business. No need to bake first. Cook the ground beef and make the sauce, then assemble. Wrap well and freeze! Keep as much air space out as possible.
Debi,
How long would you bake this frozen or do you thaw it first. I like to take meals to shut ins but never quite sure how to adjust bake time. Thank you in advance.
Lucy, freeze, then thaw in the frig. Cook according to step #3.
Might need a bit more time in the oven.
great recipe you make it easy and fast thank you
Such a wonderful recipe! Most I see don’t include meat, this one is now a favorite! I just love your recipes.
Absolutely delicious!
Followed recipe exactly!
Will make again and again!❤️
I was looking for something quick and easy—wasn’t expecting much. It was delicious and the family loved it! The next time I make it I will do half ground beef and half sausage.—to make it more like my mother’s recipe. Also just put the Italian herbs in the meat mixture
My family loved the lasagne I added hot italien turkey sausage to the ground turkey meat and used spinach and cheese ravioli it was easy to make and so tasty.
Do you think this recipe would work with Italian sausage instead of ground beef?
Absolutely!
Could you layer ricotta in there somewhere?
Sure! The cheese ravioli is stuffed with ricotta.
Was hoping for leftovers..but nope! My family loved it. Such a great recipe. Thank you!
Absolutely loved how easy this was my picky 4 year old ate it all up without me having to say anything to him which is a total score!!
Oh that is just wonderful! So glad this easy recipe was a hit!
Made this last night. We loved it! It’s a great dish for a quick weeknight meal. It will definitely go in our weekly rotation. Thank you!
I wanted to save and copy the recipe but when I went to print , it stacked 9 pages just for a recipe. Could I get a compact version of the recipes please ? Thx
If you use the print button that is located in the recipe card it prints just the recipe.
Hi there!
I couldn’t find any frozen ravioli. I did get the refrigerated kind from Butoni. Do you have any suggestions on how to make this with that?
Since the meat and everything is already cooked, I would just bake it until the ravioli is done and the cheese is melted.
