This looks yummy, will have to try. I guess it doesn’t matter if you use light or dark brown sugar? I know in the South it’s usually a personal preference?

    I am making this tomorrow!

  8. Pecan pie is one of my absolute favorites and this looks like a delicious alternative. It’s refreshing to have a recipe with a few less ingredients on the list. Nothing is more frustrating than a last minute run to the store because your nutmeg is stuck at the bottom of the container!

  9. Shellie M says:

This brown sugar pie looks wonderful!! Question?-Is this similar to a pecan pie minus the pecans? You have no idea how many times, Ive ordered or made a Pecan pie only to take the top layer of pecans off to nibble the bottom, gooey layer! YUM!!

  10. LOVE this recipe. We omit the lemon juice and add chopped pecans. The pecans float to the top while baking! My favorite “pecan pie”!5 stars

  11. Brown sugar pie?? That just sounds so good to me! 🙂 I am definitely trying this recipe! 🙂
