SNICKERDOODLE CAKE MIX COOKIES
If you love snickerdoodle cookies and easy recipes, this is the one for you! Only 5 simple ingredients.

❤️WHY YOU WILL LOVE THESE SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES
These cookies only take 5 simple ingredients, come together quickly and taste great. They are soft, chewy and delicious! The butter really makes this cookie pop with flavor. You will be surprised at how good these cookies are, even though they are made from a mix, and you can make them in very little time when you need something in a hurry or just want a delicious cookie to snack on. They are wonderful with coffee or milk.
Plus, these cookies are made without cream of tartar, which is handy since some people don’t have that ingredient on hand!
WHY DO YOU CHILL THE DOUGH?
We chill the dough so that it is easier to work with the butter will harden again. It makes a difference in how the cookies come together. You can easily make these cookies in advance; they are just as good the next day!

YAY! Paige.. that is wonderful! Im gonna have to make these again!
Can you use a white cake mix for these if you don’t have a yellow cake mix?
Thank you.
Sure!
Can this cookie dough mix be made ahead and frozen until ready to bake.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Dawn
I have never tried that, so can’t really say.
Do you use salted or unsalted butter?
I’ve used both, you can use whichever you like. Thanks!
Can these be frozen?
I can’t advise, I’ve never frozen these cookies.
You can add it if you like, I don’t feel its needed in the cake mix cookies. That is just an easy fun recipe. I use it in this recipe from scratch: https://thesouthernladycooks.com/2011/12/07/perfect-snickerdoodles/
I was curious if you could use gluten free cake mix? If so, do I need to add or substitute any ingredients? Thank you!
Hi Melissa,
I have never made them with gluten free mix so I have no idea if it would work or not. If you try it, let us know how it works out for you. Thanks so much!
