I make these peanut butter brownies often for when my family and friends come over. They always ask for the recipe. Children will love these brownies, too. Make these brownies with your children or grandchildren for an easy project you can do together. This recipe is very versatile in that you could use peanut butter chips or add raisins or mix it up however you like. If I use crunchy peanut butter I usually leave out the nuts in this recipe. Made for husband’s game night, especially as there is a high proportion of Reese’s fans. I upped the recipe by a half because I only had a 9×13 pan. Instead of 1/4 c additional flour, I used cocoa powder, and I used natural peanut butter and peanuts as my nuts. I’m taking all this time to explain it all because… They were a triumph! Very well balanced between PB and chocolate, and a nice salty note, too! Loved by all, not just the grown men but also our young children. A happy alternative to No-Bake Cookies, and the larger recipe left a few to send home with the guys. This will definitely go into rotation!
These are in the oven baking right now. The batter is delicious. We substituted walnuts for peanuts. I know they will be even tastier baked!
I shared this recipe on Facebook, and that same day one of my friends made it, and said it turned out great! Just thought I’d let ya know 🙂
Just made these for some football players who are running a weekend camp for the local kids – I think these and some chocolate chip cookies will be a welcome treat! The recipe was so easy to put together, I also added some white chocolate chips and m and m’s for fun, yum!
