EASY SAUSAGE STROGANOFF

Easy Sausage Stroganoff - The Southern Lady Cooks

This Easy Sausage Stroganoff is perfect for a busy night. It’s loaded in flavor and my whole family loved it. It’s definitely a twist on a classic, so if you love Hamburger Stroganoff I think you will love this one too. We love to cook with sausage and this is a great dish.

Easy Sausage Stroganoff Ingredients Needed

Pork Breakfast Sausage

Fresh Mushrooms

Onion

Minced Garlic

Beef Gravy

Sour Cream

Black Pepper

Egg Noodles

Crispy Fried Onions – Optional

This is a super easy skillet dish that reheats well too. I have never tried freezing it, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. You can easily use canned mushrooms if you don’t have fresh mushrooms. We like the crispy fried onions on this dish, but that addition is totally optional. You can easily leave them off. We like a bit of cheese sprinkled on top, but it’s definitely not needed. This dish makes a lot, so it is great to enjoy for a few nights or make it up and enjoy for lunch!

  1. Love it ladies. Been fixing this for my cowboy/farmer for 58 years. Excellent use for the venison that he and the boys harvest each year on the ranch. I have never used any canned or gravy mix. Depending on breakfast or dinner, I serve over rice, grits, biscuits or toast. So sweet that ya’ll work with your Mother. Our daughter and granddaughter come to the ranch often and it is so delightful to see the younger generation preparing delicious meals like the 2 previous before me. Love your post.5 stars

  2. I’m guessing you want us to use pre-made gravy , is that correct?
Not sure what to use since I have gray I use that’s powered.

Yes, canned gravy is extremely easy to find. If you want to make a homemade gravy, then go for it. You’re welcome to use what you want.
