These Crock Pot Hot Ham Sandwiches are delicious and so simple. Just grab some deli ham, a few simple ingredients, throw it all in the crock pot, and you are set. Then all you need is buns and some chips, and you have a super simple but really good meal!
How to Make Crock Pot Ham Sandwiches?
The great thing about these sandwiches is you need simple basic ingredients. Nothing complicated that you can easily find at the store. If you have followed our site for any amount of time, you know that we love to cook with common ingredients. You won’t be searching the grocery store for some ingredients you have never heard of or only plan to use one time.
- Green Bell Pepper
- Brown Sugar
- Lemon Juice
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Yellow Mustard
- Liquid Smoke
- Sliced Deli Ham
What type of Ham did you use?
We used Brown Sugar ham because we like the sweetness of it, but honestly, any deli ham will work. We got it sliced on the thinner side as well, and these sandwiches turned out so good. You could easily use sliced or spiral ham too, which is wonderful if you have leftovers from the holidays.
How long do you cook the ham in the crock pot?
If you are using the thinly sliced deli ham, we cook it for about 2-3 hours on low. You really want the ham to marry with the other ingredients so it can get that wonderful flavor. If you are using spiral or sliced ham, you will probably want to let it cook for about 4 hours on low.
I found that the ham reheats really well the next day, so you can easily enjoy leftovers. This makes about four sandwiches, so you can simply double it for a large crowd.
How to serve these crock pot ham sandwiches?

Crock Pot Ham Sandwiches
- 1 cup of ketchup
- 1/4 cup of chopped onion
- 1/4 cup of chopped green peppers
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tablespoon of ground or yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon of liquid smoke
- 1 lb of sliced deli ham - we used brown sugar ham
- Combine all ingredients except ham and mix together. Place ham in crock pot and cover with sauce. Let cook on low for 2-3 hours. Serve on a bun or hoagie roll.
