CRESCENT ROLL BUTTERSCOTCH DANISHES

Crescent roll butterscotch danishes are so easy to make and are wonderful with your morning coffee.  I could eat every one of these by myself.  They are that good.

Crescent Roll Butterscotch Danish The Southern Lady Cooks

This makes eight danishes but you could cut them bigger and make four big ones.  You can double this recipe and serve them for brunch to family and guests.  You will not have any left but, if you do, they keep several days refrigerated and can be reheated in the microwave.  Children will love these and love helping you make them.  Crescent roll butterscotch danishes can be made using any of your favorite chocolate chips or peanut butter chips or whatever you have on hand.

Ingredients for Crescent Roll Butterscotch Danishes

1 (8 ounce) package original crescent rolls

1 cup butterscotch chips

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup white granulated sugar

chopped pecans or walnuts or nuts of your choice

Directions

Open the crescent rolls and don’t take them apart but just slice through the roll to make eight rounds.  Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and use a glass or cup to flatten each roll leaving a bit of a side all the way round.  Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla extract with mixer.  Divide this among the eight rolls.  Add several butterscotch chips and chopped nuts on top of cream cheese mixture.  Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.  Makes 8 danishes.  Enjoy!

Note:  We like these with my recipe for basic powdered sugar glaze drizzled over the top.
