This was different from the usual Sloppy Joe recipe, it was truly more “steakhouse” with those smoke flavors! I enjoyed it not being the sweet recipe that Sloppy Joes often are. Next time, to bring umami, I will add finely chopped mushrooms. We will make this again, for sure!
These were yummy. Adjusted the seasonings a bit to taste, and added a bit of salt (we used store brand A1 and worcheshire and it wasn’t as potent I think) but they were a hit. Even better the next day
I made the Steak Sauce Sloppy Joe for dinner and neither my husband or myself liked it. I think there was a mistake in the recipe. It said 8 oz. Tomato paste and paste comes in 6 oz. I feel it should have been 8 oz. Tomato sauce which would have given the dish some sweetness instead of the paste taste. I have tried many of your other recipes and enjoyed them.
Peggy, oh my goodness, you are correct that should be tomato sauce. I am so sorry that we made an error and I apologize the recipe didnt work out for you. 100% our fault!
