PEACHES AND CREAM MUFFINS

Cream muffins are made with peaches and sour cream.

Peaches and Cream Muffins are so good and so easy to make. You can use either canned peaches or fresh peaches in this recipe.  Add some butter or preserves for a real treat at breakfast with coffee or as a snack anytime. If you like peaches, you will love these peaches and cream muffins. You can double this recipe.  These muffins are great to take to any event or gathering and keep well for several days refrigerated.  These muffins would make a wonderful food gift for a sick friend or neighbor.  Bake these for your family anytime.  They will love you for it.

Cream muffins made with peaches and sour cream are a delicious treat for breakfast or anytime.

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cooking oil (I use Canola)

3/4 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 (15 ounce) can peaches, drained and cut in pieces

Extra nutmeg, Optional

In a large bowl combine sugar, eggs, vanilla, cooking oil and sour cream.  Mix well with a spoon until smooth.  Add baking soda, nutmeg and flour and continue stirring.  Fold in drained peaches. Spray a 12 cup muffin pan and add muffin mixture.  Sprinkle each muffin with a little extra nutmeg.  Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes.  Makes 12 muffins.  Enjoy!
