SMOKY HAM AND PASTA SALAD
Ham pasta salad is easy and delicious and one of my favorite salads.
Try this great smoky ham pasta salad anytime of the year. It keeps well and the bacon bits and liquid smoke really give it a unique flavor you will love. I like having it in the refrigerator for a quick meal anytime!
Ham pasta salad is wonderful to take to any gathering or function and people love it.
8 oz. wheat rotini, cooked according to package directions. (can use any pasta you like)
1 1/2 cups diced ham
8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese cut in very small cubes
3 or 4 green onions with tops, chopped or 1/2 cup regular onion chopped
1 cup celery, diced
2 tablespoons liquid smoke (If you are not familiar with liquid smoke, it has a strong smoky flavor. We like it in this salad. You can cut this amount in half if you don’t think you will like it.) You can always add more later if you want. They carry it in most grocery stores. You can also omit it.)
Black pepper to taste
Mayo (about 1/2 cup)
Paprika
Bacon Bits
Toss all ingredients with mayo, sprinkle top with paprika and bacon bits. This salad is so good you won’t be able to stop eating it! Will keep in refrigerator for a week. Enjoy!
