IMPOSSIBLE APPLE PIE

Impossible Apple Pie - The Southern Lady Cooks

This Impossible Apple Pie is so easy to make and absolutely delicious. I must admit I was a little skeptical when I put it all together but it turned out fantastic and we all loved it. Impossible pies are so easy since you don’t need a pie crust, they make their own and this one is definitely one to add to your recipe list.

Impossible Apple Pie Ingredients Needed:

Apples (I used Granny Smith)

Nutmeg

Ground Cinnamon

Butter

Eggs

Granulated Sugar

Milk

Baking Mix

Topping Ingredients

Baking Mix

Pecans

Brown Sugar

Butter

I do believe the topping really makes this pie, it adds a little crunch and with ice cream, it is delicious. You could use walnuts or leave the nuts off but we really loved the pecans. I think apple and pecan go so well together!

  1. You ladies are the greatest. I have made many of your dessert recipes, I’m more of a baker than a cook, and they are all delicious. When I want to bake, I always look to you guys for the recipe. Thanks for sharing so many wonderful recipes.5 stars

I made the Impossible Apple Pie for Easter. It was delicious and enjoyed by all! Thank you so much for all of your fantastic recipes. Wish I could afford to make all of the ones that I would like to. I’m by myself so “I’d be bigger than a barn” if I did. LOL5 stars

  3. Stacey Blackford says:

I can’t wait to make two impossible pies and the water pie with my 5yr old granddaughter and have the family blind taste test them5 stars

  4. Pat Casavant says:

    Hi
Can I use a 9×13 instead of a pie plate? Thanku

    1. I don’t think that will work, it would be very thin in a 9X13. I would try and 8X8 or 9X9.

  5. What is baking mix and what could I substitute it with? Could I just use flour and a pinch of baking powder?

  6. Can you use cherry pie filling in this recipe?

    1. The Southern Lady says:

I would have no idea; I’ve never made this pie with any kind of pie filling. Thanks!

  7. I didn’t comment because I haven’t made it yet. But I wanted to ask why you don’t include the approximate number pf apples needed? I don’t normally bake with fresh apples

    1. The Southern Lady says:

Because apples vary in size, it would depend on what size apples you purchased.
