Ingredients

  • 6 cups apples peeled and chopped (I used Granny Smith apples)
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk I used 2%
  • 1/2 cup baking mix can use Bisquick, Jiffy or store brand

Streusel Topping:

  • 1 cup baking mix such as Bisquick Jiffy or store brand
  • 1/2 cup pecans chopped (could use walnuts)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted

Instructions

  • Spray a deep-dish pie plate with cooking spray. Toss the apples with the nutmeg and cinnamon and place in pie plate.
  • Beat eggs, butter, sugar, milk and baking mix until smooth with a mixer. Pour over apples. Sprinkle on streusel topping below.

Streusel Instructions:

  • Combine all topping ingredients and mix well with fork until becomes like a crumble. Sprinkle over top of
  • unbaked pie.
  • Bake pie in preheated 350-degree oven for 55 to 60 minutes. Let cool before slicing. Delicious with ice cream or whipped cream on top.
