EASY BAKED NACHOS RECIPE

This easy baked nachos recipe is definitely a staple in our house.  We eat nachos probably twice a week. I love to make this recipe for dinner. It’s also a great recipe to make when you’re having friends and family over to watch the game. If you like nachos and you’re a fan of easy, then you’re going to love this way to make easy baked nachos.

Easy Nachos The Southern Lady Cooks

Nachos are so versatile. You really can customize this dish to your exact taste. Leave out what you don’t like and add in more of what you love. This recipe calls for you to put your nacho mixture in a crock pot for several hours. I really think it brings out the flavor.

Easy Baked Nachos Ingredients

1 pound of ground turkey or ground beef

1 can of black beans

1 packet of taco seasoning

1 green pepper, diced

1 red pepper, diced

1 small onion, diced

1 jar of your favorite salsa (I used a 16 oz jar of Salsa Verde, mild)

tortilla chips

Toppings:

shredded cheddar cheese

olives

avocado

salsa

sour cream

cilantro

Brown meat, black beans and onion together on top of stove. Combine meat and the rest of the ingredients in the crock pot on low for 2-3 hours. Place oven on broil. If you’re making for a group use a baking sheet covered in parchment paper. I spray a little of non stick spray on the paper. If you’re making these for dinner, then I use my cake pans for each individual serving.  Place tortilla chips all over the baking sheet or in your cake pans. With a slotted spoon, spoon mixture over your tortilla chips. Next add your toppings. Broil in oven until cheese is melted and bubbling. Take out of oven, let set for a minute and then drizzle sour cream over them (and guacamole if you like it) and serve to your guest.

We can’t get enough of this recipe for easy baked nachos. Another huge plus is there is very little clean up. Gotta love that!
