APPLE BUTTER OATMEAL COOKIES
If you love a soft, chewy cookie, then these are for you! Great combination and absolutely delicious.

❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We love apple butter and we love oats so this cookie is a family favorite. This cookie is soft and chewy and is terrific with a cup of coffee. If you are a fan of apple butter, definitely put this one on your list. These cookies also keep very well and get better the next day so you can easily make them in advance.
SWAPS
If you are not a fan of raisins you can simply leave them out. I also think these would be wonderful with craisins. We have made them with pecans and walnuts and they were delicious both times.
If you read the comments, some people switched up the apple butter, one person used peach butter and said they were delicious. Another person used chopped granny smith apples and loved them.

Tasty. Very cake-like. Very healthy vibe to them. Instead of raisins, I added 1 cup ofchopped Granny Smith apple.
This batter would be good in a sheet pan or muffin tin, although I don’t know how long to cook them in that form.
I used peach butter instead of apple. Quite tasty. Thanks!
Wonderful!
I am sorry Margaret we don’t have that recipe on the site. We do have one for applesauce in the crock pot and here is the link for that one: https://thesouthernladycooks.com/2013/12/09/homemade-crock-pot-applesauce/ If you google “apple butter recipe”, I am sure you will get tons of recipes for it.
The recipe called for apple butter not applesauce
Yes, Debbie that is correct, which is why it they are called Apple Butter cookies.
Just made these. So good. But instead of regular applesauce I used peach mango. And craisens instead of raisins.
Sounds delicious!!
mmm. . . the cookies look yummy.
Can anything be substituted for the raisins? Like Chocolate Chips? Otherwise, the recipe sounds delicious!!!
I have not tried this recipe with chocolate chips but see no reason why you couldn’t use them, Kathy.
Trying this with our homemade apple butter!
