CHEESECAKE PRETZEL DESSERT

If you are a fan of cream cheese style desserts, this is a must-make! So easy and so good!

Cherry Cheesecake Pretzel Dessert

If you love cherry recipes, you will want to give this delicious Chocolate Cherry Cake a try. It’s made from scratch and always a hit.

❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We love how simple this recipe is, only a few ingredients and it comes together quickly. You can make this dessert the night before too. It’s super versatile and can be made with a different topping. The pretzel mixture is what makes this recipe fantastic.

SWAPS

You can easily swap out the cherry topping for blueberry or raspberry. Both would be delicious! I also think you could use low fat cream cheese and this will still be a hit. Some recipes don’t bake the crust but we find that baking the pretzel mixture really brings out the flavor.

⭐TIP

We use a ziplock bag and a rolling pin to break up the pretzels. We don’t make them super small because we love the pretzel crunch. Also when you serve this and cut a slice and some of the pretzel pieces are left behind just sprinkle them on top. The pretzels really make this dessert!

Cuisine American, southern
Servings 10 servings

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cups of pretzels crushed (depending on how thick you want your crust)
  • 1 cup of butter melted
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup of confectioners sugar
  • 1 8 ounce container of frozen whipped topping, thawed (coolwhip) I used fat free
  • 1 21 ounce can of pie filling

Instructions

  • Preheat over to 350 degrees. Combine crushed pretzels, butter and 3 tbsp of sugar together and a bowl. Once combined, press into the bottom of a 9X13 baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes in oven. Set aside and let cool completely.
  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese and confectioner sugar until well smooth. I didnt use a mixer and it worked fine. Fold whipped topping into mixture and then spread mixture on top of the pretzels (make sure it’s completely cool). Finally spread pie filling on top of the cream cheese mixture.

Cool whip is thicker based I wouldn’t suggest using cream also I use light cool whip for obvious reasons.5 stars
