This recipe for Creamy Stove Top Macaroni and Cheese is a family favorite.

Creamy stove top macaroni and cheese is a quick, easy recipe your family will love.  Great for a weeknight side dish you can throw together in a few minutes and very tasty.  My family loves pasta and this will become a favorite.  You can double this recipe.  This creamy stove top macaroni and cheese keeps several days in the refrigerator and can be reheated on the stove or in the microwave.  You may need to add a little milk when reheating.  You can use different cheeses in this recipe to make it your own.  You might also like my recipe for cheesy macaroni and cheese that is baked in the oven and takes a little longer but gets great reviews on our site.

Creamy stove top macaroni and cheese will become a quick favorite.

1 1/3 cups macaroni or pasta of your choice, (cooked until tender)

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup milk (I use 2%)

1/3 cup heavy whipping cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 ounces cream cheese

Cook macaroni in a saucepan on top of the stove according to package directions until tender.  Drain.  Return macaroni to saucepan and add butter, salt, black pepper, milk, heavy whipping cream, cheddar cheese and cream cheese.  Stirring constantly with stove on very low heat cook until cheeses are totally melted.  Remove from heat and wait about 10 minutes before serving so pasta can soak up wet ingredients.  Makes 4 servings.  Enjoy!
