This Spicy Chili Bake recipe is great to serve to friends and family for game day or just anytime you have someone over to visit. We love this when we are watching movies or t.v. and want something for snacking.
1 pound ground beef
1 (15.5 ounce) can chili beans, drained and rinsed
1 (10 ounce) can tomatoes and green chilis, undrained
2/3 cup chunky salsa
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Dash hot sauce, Optional
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup crushed corn chips
Shredded Cheese of your choice (I use a Mexican blend)
Corn chips or scoops
Brown ground beef, onion and green peppers in a skillet on top of the stove. Drain. Combine with chili beans, tomatoes, salsa, onion, green pepper, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, black pepper, salt and hot sauce. Mix in the 1 cup crushed corn chips. Pour into a 2 quart casserole dish. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven, covered for about 30 minutes. Can sprinkle shredded cheese on top while hot or serve to guests along with sour cream, corn chips or scoops and extra salsa. Makes 8 to 10 servings. Enjoy
