WHOLE WHEAT BISCUITS

These delicious Whole Wheat Biscuits are super easy to make and wonderful with butter and jelly. If you have followed our site for any amount of time you know we absolutely LOVE biscuits. Whole Wheat Biscuits Ingredients Needed:
All-purpose flour
Whole wheat flour
Baking powder
Salt
Shortening
Buttermilk
Sugar
Baking soda

Whole Wheat Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Mix together flours, baking powder, salt, sugar and soda. Cut in shortening.
- Add buttermilk and mix with a spoon until dough is formed. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.
- Spray baking sheet and cook in preheated 425 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits.

We went out to dinner tonight and my husband ate wheat rolls and when I looked on here and saw this i showed it to him and he said he would get the stuff for me to make them he loves homemade biscuits so I’m going to try them thanks for the recipie and tips the fluffy biscuits were great last night with homemade soup
Maybe these would be good with thinly sliced ham and cheese…do you think? I am taking some sandwiches on Sunday and I’m trying to find an interesting bread. Balisha
