Muffins are so good in the morning with a cup of coffee, at night with a glass of milk or just anytime. These sour cream banana muffins are a great way to use up extra bananas and the chocolate chips really add to this recipe. Make these muffins for an after school snack for the kids or let the children or grandchildren help you make these banana treats. You could add raisins to these muffins if desired or you could leave out the nuts. This recipe would make a wonderful gift for a sick friend, new neighbor or give them just for a good deed.
What a delicious looking muffin! I love the addition of the chocolate chips. Makes a great combination with the bananas. Definitely bookmarking this recipe to try! 🙂
This recipe is so timely! Last night a friend of mine gave me 15-20 lbs of very ripe bananas she got for 10 cents a pound. Today, banana bread and sour cream banana muffins!! Thanks!!!
Made these for Christmas breakfast. I substituted the wheat flour for all purpose and they turned out great. My family enjoyed them.

Oh I just had an abundance of bananas and a husband who doesn’t like them. These look fantastic. I need to finish all my frozen banana bread first!
