GREEN BEAN BAKE – Easy Recipe

Green bean bake is easy and a great casserole for any event.

This green bean bake is such an easy recipe to make as a side dish for any meal and goes with almost anything.  Make it for a holiday or take it to any church event or gathering.  I love easy dishes that taste good and can be thrown together in a hurry when you need something.  This is good for a weeknight meal on a busy day because it takes no time to make.  I have always thought corn and green beans go together and this dish just proves it.  You could double this recipe for a crowd or even cut it in half.  It keeps well for several days refrigerated and is good warmed up in the microwave or oven.  You might also like our recipe for cabbage roll casserole.

Green bean bake is good anytime!

1 (12 ounce) package frozen cut green beans (could use canned beans drained and no need to thaw frozen beans)

1 1/2 cups frozen whole kernel corn (could use fresh or canned corn and no need to thaw frozen corn)

1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted

1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 sleeve Ritz crackers or about 15 crackers, crushed

2 tablespoons butter

Mix green beans and corn together in bottom of a casserole dish.  Stir in mushroom soup, salt and pepper.  Combine cheese and cracker crumbs and sprinkle on top.  Cut butter in small pieces and put on top of casserole.  Bake in preheated 350 degree oven, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes.  Makes 6 servings.  Enjoy!
