Spinach and lots of different fruits make this a wonderfully healthy salad you and your family will enjoy alone or with a meal. Fruit salads are so good any time of the year. This spinach and fruit salad is a favorite of my family. I put walnuts in this salad but you can use any nut you like. Walnuts are considered one of the healthiest nuts. We love just about any kind of salad and I always have salad fixings in the kitchen. There is nothing like throwing together a quick salad with lots of good ingredients. Check out our recipe for Bow-Tie Pasta Salad and try it, too!2 to 3 cups fresh spinach 1 cup strawberries, cut in pieces 1 cup blueberries 1/2 cup walnut pieces 1 large apple, chopped 1 large pear, chopped Combine all ingredients and toss well. Can add dressing to entire salad or let each person add their own dressing. Note: You can use all kinds of your favorite fruit and nuts such as kiwi, bananas, oranges, almonds. We like nuts better in salads than croutons and they are much better for you. Makes about 6 servings. Enjoy! Poppy Seed Dressing 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup honey 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard 1/4 cup red wine vinegar 1/3 cup oil 1 tablespoon poppy seed Mix all ingredients well in salad shaker or can use blender.
