COUNTRY HAM FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE

This delicious casserole is wonderful during the holidays.

 

This easy country ham French toast casserole is great to enjoy for breakfast or brunch. Country ham has always been a part of our holiday and we love finding new ways to serve it. Adding country ham in this French toast casserole was a perfect addition with the sugar pecan topping. What is great about this recipe is that you can use any cooked ham.  You can also make this casserole the night before, too.

Country Ham French Toast

6 pieces of brioche bread, cut into pieces  (can use whatever you like)

1/2 cup of whipping cream

1/2 cup of milk

4 eggs

1 cup of ham cooked and chopped

Topping

1/2 cup of brown sugar

1/2 cup of chopped pecans

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400. Spray a 2 quart casserole pan. In a dish, whisk together, eggs, whipping cream, and milk. Spray 2 quart casserole pan, and add bread and ham and top with whisked ingredients. Mix topping ingredients together and spread over top. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes or until bread is golden brown. Can top with powdered sugar. Serve with maple syrup. You could make this up at night and bake the next day, if baking the next day, cover in refrigerator.

Notes

The bread I used was thick slices. So if you are going to use regular bread it would probably be closer to 8-10,
