BANANA WAFFLES RECIPE
Banana waffles make a great way to honor Mother on her day or make these banana waffles anytime for a great breakfast or dessert. Children will love helping you make these waffles for Mom and they will like this recipe as well. We love banana waffles as a dessert with ice cream, nuts and chocolate, butterscotch or strawberry syrup. Banana waffles are good with maple syrup for breakfast with coffee, too. They keep well in the refrigerator, you can freeze them and put them in the toaster to reheat. You can double the recipe if needed. We love breakfast at our house and anything sweet so these banana waffles never last long and seldom do I have any leftover. This is a great way to use up bananas that are about to go bad on you. Make these banana waffles and enjoy with your friends and family. Just about everyone likes bananas!
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1 tablespoon white granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 egg
2 medium sized bananas, mashed
2 tablespoons butter, melted
pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans or nuts of your choice
Mix all ingredients together with a spoon. Heat and spray waffle iron with cooking spray. I use about 1/3 cup of waffle mixture for each waffle. Makes 8 waffles. Enjoy!
