This recipe was exactly what I was looking for! I doubled the recipe in order to have enough for a 9×13 pan. I only put in 1 cup of walnuts and 1 1/2 cups of golden raisins,
That amount of nuts and raisins was just right. Each piece of cake had a sufficient amount of nuts and raisins. Sweet enough, the amount of spice was perfect. Baked for 40 minutes. Easy, fast, simple but very tasty. Thank you.5 stars

Am I really the first person to review this? It was a wonderful recipe! Easy to put together, and I set the timer for 30 min but at 22 minutes it was done (20 may have been enough, surprised me b/c my oven tends to be slower). Needed no frosting, just powdered sugar. It was like pumpkin, flavor wise. I had applesauce in the fridge I wanted to use up and this was a delicious way to do so! Thank you again!5 stars
