These biscuits are so good with butter and strawberry preserves. I make them for a change from just regular biscuits and they always go over big. They are just as good, too.1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup shortening 1 cup buttermilk 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Mix together flours, baking powder, salt, sugar and soda. Cut in shortening. Add buttermilk and mix with a spoon until dough is formed. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Spray baking sheet and cook in preheated 425 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits. Enjoy!
