This is my daughter, Anne’s favorite dip. Leigh and Anne make it when they entertain friends and family. This dip is addictive and can be made several different ways. The recipe could be cut in half and keeps in the refrigerator several days. Just reheat in the microwave.
1 lb. sausage cooked and drained (We use Jimmy Dean’s mild sausage. Could use hamburger, too)
1 (2 pound box) velveeta cheese
1 (16-20 oz jar) salsa or could use two (10 ounce) cans diced tomatoes and green chilis
Cook sausage and drain. Combine sausage with cheese and salsa and melt in the microwave or can put in crock pot to melt the cheese.
Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
A great dip for a crowd and makes a lot! Enjoy!
