BAKED CHICKEN WITH PEACHES
Baked chicken with peaches is a great recipe if you are looking for something different to do with chicken. The spices and peaches make this a favorite with my family. An easy weeknight meal and one your family and friends will enjoy. We love chicken recipes and this is one I think you will enjoy.
Baked chicken with peaches is an easy, comfort food main dish.
1 package chicken parts of your choice. (I used chicken thighs to make this but could use whatever parts you like)
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 (1 pound) can sliced or halved peaches in juice
In a bowl mix together the flour, salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray. Place chicken parts in the casserole dish and sprinkle flour mixture over the parts. Cut the butter into pats and put it on top of each chicken piece. Bake uncovered in a preheated 375 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and place peaches in casserole with chicken. Pour the peach juice over the chicken and peaches and put back in oven for 20 more minutes. Remove and spoon juice over chicken and serve. Enjoy! (You could do this in a crock pot and add the peaches the last hour of cooking. Cook on low for about 7 hours or high for 4).

Notes
Hi! I have boneless, skinless chicken thighs to make this with. Do you think this will work? I plan on making it tonight! Thank you! Jodi
Yes, I think it will work, Jodi.
Thank you! It’s in the oven now!
I really enjoy cooking your receipes, and my family enjoy”s eating the finished product.
Thank you so much Gwen. Happy your family enjoys the recipes.
Cooked it in crock pot today and listened to Elizabeth. Thanks! So yummy!
I made this the other night in the crock pot……learned several things I want to pass along. My chicken breasts were frozen so therefore I ended up with too much liquid in pot, so didnt get the taste I wanted. Next time drain any and all cooking juices before adding peaches and juice. It will be better next to get more of the peach flavor. Thank you.
Saw a recipe similar to this on Food Network’s show Resturant Impossible. Will try it I love chicken and I love peaches.
This was sooooo goooood!!! Thanks for the recipe!
How do you make this in the slow cooker? What sides are best served with this recipe?
Hi Ann, I have not actually made it in the crockpot but I would just put in all the ingredients and then add the peaches about the last hour of cooking. Anything you would normally serve with chicken would go well for a side dish.
I just saw this on Gigi’s blog. I’m looking forward to trying it. Thank you!
The best way to eat it is to cut the chicken and the peaches and eat them both in the same bite. It is the best! Not a fast meal but a good one if you have some extra time on your hands to make dinner. Also can be made in the slow cooker I love that. ! 🙂
This sounds so good, I have been looking for a new chicken dish, thanks
