BAKED BANANAS

If you have not ever had baked bananas, you will love this treat for breakfast in the morning or just any time as a snack. The picture is of just one banana, you can make as many as you like. This is a great recipe to serve for brunch, too.  Children will love them!

1 banana, cut in half and then split lengthwise
1/4 stick butter or margarine
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Corn flakes or cereal of your choice crushed.   These are made with Kroger’s brand Crunchy Raisin Bran sweetened with oat clusters.
Honey or syrup

Melt butter in a bowl, add cinnamon.  Dip banana halves into butter then roll in crushed cereal.  Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.  Drizzle with honey or syrup.  Enjoy!

  1. This looks absolutely yummy!

  2. Talk about another way to do bananas and cereal… we just usually cut ‘em up into slices and add ‘em to our bowl of cereal. Well……. not anymore! These look delicious :)

  3. Wow, I have never had this before. I love bananas, so this looks really good.

  4. I just did this on a George Foreman grill- the cereal & topped with cool whip. it was ok, but nothing I’d make again. I’ll try the baked version. I’m sure it’s better.

    • Hi Lynn, Everyone’s likes and tastes are different and this just may be a recipe that you don’t care for. We like bananas this way. Also, I always do them in the oven and that might be the difference. I have never tried them on a grill.
