WHITE CHOCOLATE PARTY MIX
Party Mix is a favorite in our house. We make it all the time. This party mix recipe is one that my daughters make every year at Christmas. We all spend Christmas Eve at the farm cooking and making goodies. I am so proud that they are carrying on the traditions of Southern Cooking. We love this stuff and make it for other holidays like Halloween, too.
This is very easy to make and you will not be able to stop eating it. A great snack anytime!
Party Mix with white chocolate is wonderful for any event or gathering anytime.
1 pound white chocolate 3 cups crispy rice cereal squares 3 cups crispy corn cereal squares 3 cups toasted oat cereal 2 cups thin pretzel sticks (we use the small pretzel squares) 2 cups peanuts (can use any kind of nuts you like) 1 (12 ounce) package mini candy-coated chocolate pieces (we use M & M’s) In the microwave, slowly melt the white chocolate. In a large bowl, combine cereals, pretzels, peanuts and candy coated chocolates. Slowly pour the chocolate over the cereal mixture and stir to evenly coat. Spread the mixture onto wax paper and cool. Break into small pieces, store in an air-tight container and refrigerate to keep fresh. Enjoy! If you like this recipe, you might also like my recipe for Honey Nut Cheerio Treats. We call this White Trash (don’t know where the name came from). It’s a favorite around here….
Can you use white almond bark in place of the white chocolate?
Can white almond bark be substituted for the white chocolate?
I think you could do that, Jewel.
Just made this with Chocolate Cheerios!! Yum!
Can you use melted white chocolate chips ,or dark chocolate & then sprinkle with powdered sugar?
You can try it. I only make it by the recipe.
It calls for toasted oat cereal, what kind do you use?
Cheerios.
Will this keep without being refrigerated
It will for a day or so but we refrigerate it.
The one I make has the carmel bits in it also. It is so good.
I love this stuff.. I have trouble melting the chocolate.. It wants to burn.. What am I doing wrong?? Wishing you a Merry Christmas!!
Just put it in for one minute at a time and take out and stir until it is melted or even a half a minute at a time. You are probably leaving it in too long.
Melt in the microwave. Never burns. Most packages have the directions on how to melt in the microwave. Turns out perfect every time!
This sounds really good. And really easy to make! I will have to try this.
I think my friends and I well make this on our bake day. Fun!!!!!!! TY Have a blessed Christmas with family and friends.
That looks delicious! I’m going to try it.
I made your pumpkin bread for Thanksgiving and gave it away in individual ceramic loaf pans. It was a big hit! My husband loved it too and he is not big on sweets. Thank you for the recipe!
I love how many traditions you have with your daughters.
