My family requests this delicious stuffed french toast quite often! It’s a great twist on a classic and is wonderful for a weekend breakfast. It’s fancy enough for guests, too! You can easily half this recipe for just a couple of people. The cream cheese, cinnamon and pecans just gives this french toast a great flavor! You may also like this French Toast Casserole

Stuffed French Toast

10-12 pieces of cinnamon bread

2 eggs

1/4 cup of heavy cream

1 teaspoon of vanilla

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Stuffing Ingredients

4 ounces of cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup of crushed pecans

1 teaspoon  of powdered sugar

In a shallow bowl, mix eggs, cream, vanilla and cinnamon. In another bowl mix together all the stuffing ingredients. Spread some of the stuffing mixture on a piece of cinnamon bread and place another piece of bread over top of it making a sandwich. Dip each side of sandwich in the egg mixture. Then place sandwich in a lightly greased pan over medium heat and cook until golden brown on both sides. Continue till all sandwiches are cooked.  I like to garnish with powder sugar and syrup. For a very pretty and also tasty look, you can garnish with fresh fruit or jellies or jams.
