Macaroni Garden Salad

Macaroni Garden Salad is wonderful anytime.   Macaroni garden salad makes a wonderful addition to any meal, picnic, or potluck. Macaroni salad has been around for years and is a staple in my house all year round.  Ham, bacon, chicken or just about any meat works in this macaroni salad and your friends and family will love it.  You can double the recipe if you are making this for a large group of people or cut it in half for a few.  This salad keeps well for several days refrigerated and is wonderful to have on hand for a quick meal.  It goes well as a side dish to any meal.  This salad is delicious made with fresh garden vegetables in the summer. Try it for a treat your family and friends will love and enjoy or share some with a neighbor.  You might also like our recipe for creamy cucumber salad. 

Macaroni garden salad is very versatile and you can add the ingredients you like to make this recipe your own.

2 cups uncooked macaroni
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 carrot, shredded
1 cup radishes, chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
1 small cucumber, peeled and chopped
1 cup mayo
1 cup cooked ham, chopped         
Cook the macaroni according to package directions.  Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.  Add the mayo, along with the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and chill.  Makes about 2 quarts of salad.  Keeps several days in the refrigerator.

    yumm…………adding black pepper, a little ground mustard and cilantro
