TSLCTunaCasserole

I love easy dishes you can make when you need something quick.  This Cheesy Tuna Casserole is quick, easy comfort food at its best and I usually have the ingredients on hand.

3 cups uncooked medium pasta shells, cooked according to package directions for  about 9 minutes and drained
2 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained
1/4 cup chopped onion (can use regular or green onions)
1 cup frozen green peas, drained (could use canned peas)
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 (4 ounce) can mushroom pieces, drained
1 cup shredded cheese (I used 4 cheese Mexican. You can use whatever kind you like)
Cheese crackers (about one cup crumbled)

Cook pasta according to package directions for about 9 minutes, drain and set aside.  Combine all remaining ingredients and mix with a spoon except cheese crackers. Mix in the pasta.  Pour into a sprayed casserole dish and crumble cheese crackers on top.  Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven 35 to 40 minutes. Makes about 8 servings. Enjoy!
