This Cheesy Garlic Cauliflower Casserole is such a great recipe!

Cheesy Garlic Cauliflower Casserole The Southern Lady Cooks

The cheese and the garlic together really make this dish pop with flavor. This is the perfect dish for a potluck or a side dish for the holidays. Another reason this is so perfect is because it is super easy.

1 large head of Cauliflower chopped in bite size pieces

1 cup of shredded parmesan, asiago and romano cheese (it comes in one container together)

1 cup of light sour cream

3 tablespoons of butter

1 tablespoon of minced onion

2 tablespoons of garlic

1 cup of garlic and herb bread crumbs

Cheddar Cheese Optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Bring a large pot of water to boil and then toss in your cauliflower. Boil until tender, around 10 min or so.

Drain water off of cauliflower and then add sour cream, cheese, butter, garlic and minced onion to it. Stir up until the cauliflower is covered and the butter is melted. Place the mixture in a greased baking dish and then add bread crumbs on top. I added a little bit of cheddar cheese to the top before putting it in the oven. I added more for color than anything!

Bake for 30-35 min. Once out of the oven, I stir it up to mix in the crunch of the bread crumbs to all the cauliflower. You don’t have to.  You might like to check out our favorite green bean casserole, too.

We get compliments every where we take this dish! It really is a great addition to any weekly dinner or potluck! Be sure and pin this Cheesy Garlic Cauliflower Casserole.

  1. Karen Becker says:

This looks very good. Is it 2 tablespoons or teaspoons of garlic? Just wanted to confirm before I make this as it seems like a lot as written? And can I use the minced garlic in a jar? Thank you!

    1. The Southern Lady says:

Karen, it’s really your own judgement. We like a lot of garlic so we use the minced plus the garlic powder. However if you are going to use the minced in an jar, just use 2 tablespoons of that.

  2. Hi – what size baking dish did you use and approximately how many people does it serve? Trying to decide if I should double it. Thank you!

    1. The Southern Lady says:

HI Holly! It was a 9X9 casserole dish and it serves around 4-6. I hope that helps!
