Cajun shrimp are delicious and so easy to make in a few minutes on top of the stove.

Cajun Shrimp

I love making these Cajun shrimp for appetizers and serving with my recipe for cocktail sauce or make them anytime you want an easy snack while watching your favorite programs on t.v. or when you have friends over.  This recipe is good for any event or gathering and I promise you won’t have any left.  You can double or triple the recipe if serving a group of people. You could serve these shrimp over rice or pasta for main dish for two people.

Cajun shrimp are wonderfully delicious and easy.

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (I use my recipe for Cajun seasoning)

Pinch salt

Melt butter in a skillet on top of the stove.  Combine garlic powder, Cajun seasoning and pinch of salt in a bowl.  Toss in shrimp and stir to coat.  Cook in melted butter for 3 to 4 minutes turning once.  Shrimp should be pink when cooked.  Makes about 2 1/2 cups of cooked shrimp.  Enjoy.

      If you are serving it over pasta or rice to make a meal, corn or any kind of beans should work fine. If you are serving as an appetizer, your favorite dipping sauce like the recipe says.
