Love it
I made this over the weekend. It was perfect for my very picky mother. I added some cajun seasoning to my individual serving and loved it.
GREAT! Glad it was a hit with your Mom!
I put this in the crockpot for my elderly parents (married 62 years!). They both loved the flavors. Dad was “mopping” up his plate with a piece of bread. Thank you for a the recipe.
Hi do you put onion soup mix in dried or make it into a soup first
You do not make onion soup; you just use the dry soup mix. Thanks!
Can something replace the onion soup mix? I don’t use mixes, rather use regular ingredients.
I would suggest making your own: https://thesouthernladycooks.com/make-your-own-onion-soup-mix-2/
Could I use ground sausage in this recipe?
I would think you could but I would recommend cooking it first.
Making this for the first time for my Husband and I dinner tonight! He will have leftovers for his work lunch tomorrow.
I just made this today, loving it. The flavors are spot on. Didn’t change anything this time but the next time will put in more carrots.. Thank you this is fantastic.
Hi! I am wondering if I use four packages of turkey kielbasa, should I double all of the other ingredients? I would love to make this tonight! Thank you! Laurie
I would think you could do either. Just depends on how much meat and veggies you want. I would probably double the vegetables.
I made this for supper tonight. My husband loves it! I do too. I will be making this again. I followed the recipe but, put it in my electric pressure cooker. I cooked it on high pressure for 8 minutes then did a quick release. It came out perfect! Thank you for this recipe! It’s a keeper.
I only have chicken broth on hand- will this be okay?

This is AMAZING. Made a batch yesterday and was expecting leftovers and there was none left. Made another batch today, and I did three packages of sausage total, added extra beef broth, but kept the recipe the same for the most part! This is amazing and now I have dinner for the rest of the week!
